Starbuck’s New Drink to the Rescue – The Vivanno!

November 5, 2010 by Matt

Starbucks has been coined as your McDonald’s of the Coffee and Tea world. They are the giant! And they are the ones that are now finally claiming something a bit more healthy. Most people don’t realize the amazing benefits of coffee such as it’s extremely high in antioxidants and people who drink coffee studies have shown they actually live a long and healthier life.

Personally, my parents are addicted to coffee and my dad calls Starbucks his own personal offices. He is constantly telling me he has over 16,000 offices around the world. :) But coffee is also known to lower the risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Also coffee is a stimulant but personally it makes me too jittery and wired all the time so I have to drink it earlier in the day. And just as a side note from major studies and my dad the coffee genius both informed me that THE best tasting coffee in the world to buy is the brand “8 O’Clock” Medium Italian Roast. Trust me this stuff is legit!

Ok so enough about coffee because we’re talking about something else that Starbucks has in it’s wheelhouse of healthy drinks and that is the Vivanno. When I first read about this I was shocked that whey protein had made it in a Starbuck’s drink. Somebody in marketing needs to get a raise for this idea!

Why? Because despite having great gourmet coffee and one of my favorite teas – orange blossom green tea, Starbucks has made some pretty unhealthy drinks. Insert the frappe or any loaded chocolate drink they have. Those are jam-packed with bad calories. Tasty! But not that good for you.

Well these Vivanno smoothies are good for you and taste amazing.

WARNING: I’m not getting paid to say any of this! I really do love these things and I love the concept of a major company that basically monopolizes the coffee drinking industry add something as healthy as a whey fruit smoothie.

How delicious does this look?

Yeah I know it looks amazing and because it has whey protein it’s packed with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and of course Glutathione – the number one antioxidant on the planet. Check out some great additional info on natural whey protein powder I wrote over here. And let me know what you think of the new Starbuck’s Vivianno drinks which contain no High Fructose Corn Syrup either. If you read my last post you’ll be really glad these are free of that.

It only contains fresh fruits and simple naturally organic ingredients.
