THIS Whey Protein Powder Was Featured In The Book, The “150 Greatest Foods On Earth”

October 20, 2011 by Matt

So I have been reading through this incredible book entitled, The 150 Greatest Foods On Earth. I admit I’m kind of a nerd when it comes to learning about nutrition and all the scientific names like “cruciferous” which are all the cabbage like vegetables (brussel sprouts, cabbage, kohlrabi etc.) and how those are considered the premier cancer fighting vegetables.

Or how the number one vegetable on the planet for you to consume is kale. The reasons are seemingly endless like it is loaded with calcium, bone building vitamin K, iron, and vitamins A and C.  It also helps fight breast, cervical and colon cancer as it contains phytochemicals like indoles.

Ok so you see my point of why I love this book. Well maybe you don’t but if you’re a health nut like me, or you just want to start learning how to get healthier, then that’s the important part and that’s probably why you are here reading this post.

Well I definitely perked up in this book as I was reading it when in the “Specialty Foods” section was Whey Protein Powder right there listed as the best. And not only that but in this book there are superstar foods which are foods that are really the cream of the crop when it comes to overall nutrition.  And if you had to guess would you think that whey protein had a star beside it? You bet!

Additionally, this book also had contributions of the top 10 foods that the author’s friends, all of which are certified nutritionists, written best selling health books, diet experts, Medical columnists and everything in between. Needless to say they are health experts and scattered throughout the book are the top 10 foods that these people eat daily. Not ones they recommend…but that they actually consume.

Funny enough in over half of these little blurbs whey protein powder was scattered in their lists. Again proving how incredible this superfood actually is.

WARNING! Before you go out and purchase just any old whey protein you want to be sure you are getting the whey protein that these nutrition experts and myself are recommending because not all whey proteins are the same.

Most whey proteins, and by most I mean about 99% of them, are total garbage and companies spend most of their money on marketing rather than manufacturing with quality ingredients. I personally wouldn’t recommend any of these commercial brand whey proteins and I would not take them either.

Listen, they’re not bad for you (actually some of the are if they are loaded with artificial ingredients and sweeteners), but you are not getting what you THINK you are getting. So what should you be looking for?

Raw grass fed whey protein powder is king. The reason is because the cows are fed a natural grass fed diet as opposed to grains which most of the time are genetically modified.

And if you know anything about GMO’s they are full of toxins.

This is why the sentences above can be so bad. If the cows are fed grains (which is an unnatural diet for them) that are full of toxins, these toxins gets into their bloodstream and all throughout their body.  Furthermore, when they produce the whey protein from the cow’s milk guess who’s also putting those toxins into their body? You!

So you really want to avoid anything that doesn’t say grass fed and to be honest that is almost all the companies out there that manufacture whey.

If you have read any of my posts before you know I am an advocate of telling you the truth and recommending the best. I get thank you letters and emails quite often from people who eventually buy grass fed and feel far better as a result.  People also notice that the are able to lose more weight and have a lot more energy.

The reason is because you are finally getting what you think you are buying. There is one other thing I want you to be aware of when it comes to whey protein powder.

Don’t be fooled by the cost. Any whey protein that is worth taking is going to cost more money. But the reason is because it is not processed to death. Most whey proteins are so highly processed and under extreme heat that it kills a lot of the good bacteria, enzymes, vitamins and minerals that make it so beneficial.

And remember, when it comes down to the scheme of things, you are paying a few extra pennies a day since whey protein will last you over a month even if you are taking the recommended amount every day. Additionally, when it comes to your health you really do get for what you pay for.

There are many other articles you can read like ones that explain why grass fed whey protein powder that is undenatured is important because it contains the master antioxidant known as Glutathione that our bodies are deficient of, or even why antioxidants are important because they fight free radicals which can cause cancer. Or even when the best time to consume whey protein powder is which is after a workout during your anabolic state, which is 15-30 minutes post workout because your body needs to replenish the muscle fibers it was breaking down.

But if you want to get my recommendation and from the experts of The 150 Greatest Foods On Earth, then you can go here to find the best whey protein powder.

I really hope this post was eye opening for you. Feel free to share it with your friends. I always say to share important things to the people you love so feel free to send this to their facebook or email them the link to this page. The more people that read it, the happier and healthier we’ll all be. Take care guys.
