  2. The Major Difference Between Superior Whey Protein And Ordinary Ones

    October 31, 2011 by Matt

Well first off if you are getting a whey protein at the supermarket then you are already drastically doing a disservice to your body and to your pocket book as you are paying for something that is not working at all like it should.

Sure it is true that whey protein concentrate is a superfood, considered the best protein on the planet, lowers cholesterol, blood pressure, reduces signs of cancer, signs of aging and contains the body’s master antioxidant known as Glutathione.

However most people are taking whey protein to help supplement their diet and get some extra protein in there. The ordinary whey proteins you see out there and even at your local supplement shop like GNC all carry whey protein that is extremely substandard.

Why is this? Well for one they spend more time marketing than manufacturing and because of that they highly process this type of whey at extremely high temperatures and the chemical makeup changes and many of the important beneficial nutrients and enzymes are killed off in this process.

Additionally, too much processing will flat out kill a protein like this. I know for a fact that one company (which I will leave nameless, but it is a major brand) but are in all the supermarkets and health stores buy whey protein in bulk just before it goes bad and process the heck out of it so they can turn around and sell it in a day. Literally this type of protein, which I believe goes for about 17 cents per container to make.

Now how much health is in that? To put it simply there is not any but they do not have a problem taking your money for it.

If most people were to ask me my mission with this website and blog, it would be to explain to people the difference between organic, natural, grass fed and grain fed foods especially when it comes to beef and dairy, although I do dabble with chickens too.

Well I am sure you will hear a lot about me in future articles talk about this but it is important to note that the best whey protein powder in the world is grass fed whey protein powder. The reasons are endless but there are only a few companies, approximately less than 5% of all the whey manufacturers out there that take the time to produce it this way.

This is the reason why it costs more. But for the money you can beat all the incredible never-ending benefits of this stuff.

So before you go out and purchase another same old whey protein you should really take a look at the ones I recommend on my whey protein reviews page.

  3. Let’s Narrow Down The Countless Options To Find The Best Protein On The Planet

    by Matt

While there are literally thousands of protein supplements out there on the market today, this article is going to really help you narrow down what the best protein powder on the planet is for you to consume.

There are many different proteins you can try like meat protein, egg protein, and even soy proteins but all are considered drastically inferior and even contain 4-45% less protein than the renowned whey protein powder.

Whey protein is considered to be the best protein in the world because it is so well rounded nutritionally that it gives your body everything it needs to function at an optimal level each and every day.

You should know though that there are 3 types of whey proteins that you can use which are whey protein concentrate, whey isolates, and then there are blends, which I would not recommend taking.

With that being said concentrates are a great way to start out for nearly everybody who wants to begin getting healthier. The reason why I personally recommend concentrates too is because they are as natural and organic as you can get because they are processed the least.

Isolates are processed more than concentrates and for that reason they contain more pure protein but the processing also takes out a lot of great qualities that make the whey so well rounded nutritionally.

With that being said if you are not an extremely active person you will be find taking a concentrate and it will do your body wonders as it is actually considered to also be a superfood. Because it is so well rounded and contains large traces of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants the food and health administration has said it is the best protein you can consume.

I really only recommend isolates to those people that are high intensity athletes or body builders that want to get more protein because they break down their muscle fibers more than most people. The second reason I usually tell people to take an isolate is if they have a very sensitive case of lactose intolerance. While whey almost always have no effect on them, I tend to air on the side of caution there.

However, one thing is for certain and that is that if you want to take the best protein on the planet you want to make sure that you are getting your protein from 100% raw organic grass fed whey protein. Almost all proteins are manufactured from grain fed cows, which is not their natural diet and tends to have a dramatic impact on the whey. Additionally, these cows are given hormones and steroids to help combat all the unhealthy nutrition they receive from their diet.

So whether you take whey concentrates or you want to take the best whey protein isolate, start by making sure that they are both grass fed.

  4. Is Your Whey Protein Considered A Dead Protein?

    by Matt

This is a term that nutritionists are throwing around these days and trying to get into the forefront of people to tell them the truth about their current whey protein. Now this doesn’t apply to all whey proteins or other protein supplements (hopefully you not taking another protein supplement since whey is the best) but you want to ensure you are taking something that is actually do your body good.

I guess the old slogan, “Milk it does a body good” should be changed to “Raw Organic Milk does a body good” because that is essentially what is going on here. Your whey protein is just over manufactured and over processed to death that it loses all the great qualities that make it the best protein supplement on the planet.

You  have to stop taking dead proteins that have no nutritional benefits!

Here’s The Solution: You want to find a raw organic whey protein that is going to boost your immune system, help fight cancer causing free radicals, lower cholesterol, blood pressure, reduce the signs of aging, all while help you lose weight and tone your body.

Is your whey protein doing this?

I would venture to say 99% of the whey proteins out there are not.

The reason is because they not only over process them but they do so at extremely high temperatures, which makes them almost worthless and loses the superfood qualities.

This is why taking a whey protein concentrate like the ones we recommend which also comes from grass fed cows instead of grain fed cows, can “Do your body good!”

This is as raw and as naturally organic as you will find and the kind of whey protein which is considered the best protein literally in the world that you can consume on a daily basis.

I know that those other dead whey proteins cost less but there is a reason for that and unfortunately it has to do with your health and the lack of benefits you are obtaining.

So even if you pay what amounts to literally an extra few cents a day, take the leap, and start getting all those nutritional health benefits you thought you were getting. A when you look back a month from now at how much better you feel, you will kick yourself for not having done this sooner.

Not only that but the drastic effects that this type of whey protein will have on your body will shock you. You next visit to your Doctor will be the best one you have seen since you were probably a kid.

    Til Next Time,

  5. Up To 80% Of American Are Magnesium Deficient!

    August 2, 2011 by Matt

This is a staggering statistic I just read about saying studies have shown Americans are anywhere from 60-80% deficient of Magnesium in there diet.

But to understand why this is so bad we need to understand why we need Magnesium in our diets. The crucial health benefits of magnesium include solving or preventing osteoporosis, hypertenstion, heart attacks, constipation, migraines or headaches, leg cramps, kidney stones, gallstones and lots more.

There are however some great foods that are high in Magnesium to help give you the benefits that you need. Swiss chard, spinach and a lot of other dark greens are some of the best and highest rated foods for this. If you remember about my breakfast shakes I posted on a few posts back this is one of the reasons why I use spinach and kale every morning.

Very good sources of magnesium include squash, broccoli, halibut (wild caught if you can find it), turnip greens, pumpkin seeds and even peppermint.

Other good sources of magnesium including cucumber, green beans, celery, kale and a variety of seeds, including sunflower, flax, and even sesame seeds.

What is great about these foods too is that you can throw them in your whey protein concentrate smoothie and get basically everything you need for the day in a given meal. Of course you will get hungry again but everything you need will be in one shake.

    Hope you enjoyed the post.
